The whole world is under the power of death. Guru repeatedly reminds us that our physical body is born to die.
ਜੋ ਜਨਮੈ ਸੋ ਜਾਨਹੁ ਮੂਆ ॥ Jo janamai so jaanahu mooaa ॥

The track’s powerful message of Thaney Burajh Vich Baithi Mata Shagan Karey reminds us how Mata Gujri Ji proudly prepared for Chote Sahibzadey Wedding Day. The day Chote Sahibzadey would embrace death.



Imagine for just one moment, being imprisoned, being placed in a tower so high in the cold winter months and knowing that you will meet death by being bricked alive. How could such young souls be in such chardi kala and completely unshaken when being faced with such a death?



ਪਿੰਡੁ ਪਰੈ ਤਉ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਨ ਤੋਰਉ ॥੨॥ Pindd Parai Tho Preeth N Thoro || Even if my body falls, I shall not break my bonds of love with You. ||
ਹਮ ਤੁਮ ਬੀਚੁ ਭਇਓ ਨਹੀ ਕੋਈ ॥ Ham Thum Beech Bhaeiou Nehee Koee || Between You and I, there is no other.
ਤੁਮਹਿ ਸੁ ਕੰਤ ਨਾਰਿ ਹਮ ਸੋਈ ॥੩॥ Thumehi S Kanth Naar Ham Soee || You are the Husband Lord, and I am the soul-bride.



Our beloved Chote Sahibzadey laughed, smiled and eagerly awaited their death for that day would be their wedding of union with their Husband Lord. We are all soul brides and the Divine One is our only Husband Lord.



Only Gurbani can make us fearless. Only through Guru Shabad can we become liberated in life, to become Jeevanmukti.



ਸਬਦਿ ਮਰੈ ਸੋ ਮਰਿ ਰਹੈ ਫਿਰਿ ਮਰੈ ਨ ਦੂਜੀ ਵਾਰ ॥ Sabadh Marai So Mar Rehai Fir Marai N Dhoojee Vaar || One who dies in the Shabad is beyond death, and shall never die again.



Only by becoming dead to the false attachments of the world, can we walk according to the Hukam of Guru and be spiritually awake – this is the way of mareeai, this is the way of dying whilst being alive.



ਸਚਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ਕਾਲੁ ਵਿਧਉਸਿਆ ॥
Sachaa Sabadh Beechaar Kaal Vidhhousiaa ||
Reflecting on the True Word of the Shabad, death is overcome



Only through being absorbed in Guru Shabad can death have no effect on us. We will be free of desire. No more attachments will remain, by uniting with the One and Only True One.



This track is a small effort to help us realise our true purpose as instructed by Guru Ji, to inspire us to fall in love with Guru Shabad in order for our soul to be imbued deeply in love for Paramtma. Only then will we be in a state of fearless like our beloved Chote Sahibzadey and ultimately embrace our own pre-ordained wedding day with death.
