Chaar Sahibzaade

Chaar Sahibzaade is a 2014 Indian Punjabi 3D computer-animated historical film directed by Harry Baweja. It is based on the sacrifices of the sons of 10th Sikh guru Guru Gobind Singh—Sahibzada Ajit Singh, Jujhar Singh, Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh. The movie was produced by Pammi Baweja under the banner Baweja Movies. Om Puri narrated the film, and the voice artists for various characters in the movie were kept anonymous.

On 1st June 2016 it was announced that the historical animated film of 2014, Chaar Sahibzaade that depicted the bravery of the 10th Sikh guru Guru Gobind Singh and his four sons, is set to have a sequel “Chaar SahibZaade Rise Of Banda Singh Bahadur”. But this time around the film will portray the journey of the Sikh military commander Banda Singh Bahadur.

Banda Singh (Born as Lachman Das) was a disciple of Guru Gobind Singh who also gave him the named ‘Banda Singh Bahadur’. The film takes forward the battle led by Guru Gobind Singh against the Mughal Empire, with Banda Singh taking the lead after the demise of the 10th Sikh Guru and his sons. Banda Singh Bahadur is known for abolishing the zamindar system and he also fought against the Mughals from 1708 – 1716 but was later captured by them during the battle of Gurdaspur and tortured him to death.
